Player positions
Each player in the team has a position. Basically, players in the team are divided to:
G - Goalies (Fending off the shots, covering the puck)
(F/D/C/LW/RW/LD/RD) - Skaters (Players in the field)
Skaters are furthermore divided to:
F (C/LW/RW) - Forwards
C - Center
LW - Left wing
RW - Right wing
D (LD/RD) - Defensemen
LD - Left defender
RD - Right defender

Rules of the Game of Hockey may vary depending on the Competition, Gender, Age (chronological), Geographical location etc. This chapter contains some of the variations of the Rules. Though, other variations may apply. For valid rules always consult the Competition's responsible body.
